Prof. David Bassir

Dongguan University of Technology, China/Paris Saclay University, France

 

Brief Introduction:  David Bassir is Professor and holds an MSc and PhD in structural optimization from the University of Franche-Comte. His administrative positions and duties included Dean at the University Institutes of Technology, University of Lorraine, Consul of Science and Technology at the French Embassy in China, General Director of Research at the ESTP-ENSAM (Paris), Space Craft engineer at GECI Technology in different Space Agencies such as Arianespace (France) and (Astrium Group) and more. Prof. Bassir was an invited visiting professor in leading universities, including TUDelft, Shanghai Jiaotong, Northwestern Polytechnical, University of Oviedo, MIT Boston and the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He published over 120 papers in journals, books and conference proceedings on various subjects of Composites materials, Parameter identification, Additive manufacturing, Structural Optimization and Multiscale modelling and analysis. He serves as a member of various expert committees in many international organizations and highly estimated scientific societies.

Assist. Prof. Hai Canh VU

University of Technology of Compiègne, France

 

Brief Introduction: Hai Canh Vu is currently an Assistant Professor of Reliability Engineering and Data Science at the Roberval laboratory, at the University of Technology of Compiègne, France. He received an Engineering degree in Electrical systems in 2007 in Vietnam. He obtained a master's degree and a Ph.D. in Optimization and security of industrial systems at the University of Technology of Troyes, France in 2015. His research deals with Maintenance optimisation of complex systems, Prognostics and Health Management (PHM), and other applications of Machine learning/Deep learning in the industry.

Assoc. Prof. Ngoc Duong VO

The University of Danang – University of Science and Technology (DUT), Vietnam

 

Brief Introduction: Ngoc Duong VO is currently an Associate Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Water Resources Engineering at The University of Danang – University of Science and Technology (DUT), Vietnam.
He received his Ph.D. degree in Automation, Signal and Image Processing (Hydroinformatics) from the University of Nice, France, in 2015. He is also an Associate Member of Polytech’Lab, University of Nice, France; Head of the Smart Water Team at the Da Nang International Institute of Technology (DNIIT); Leader of the Research Group in Computational Mechanics at The University of Danang; and a Member of the Vietnam Association for Fluid Mechanics. He teaches courses on hydrology and hydraulic construction, coastal engineering, GIS applications, climate change and natural risk management, as well as urban planning and sustainable development.
With extensive experience gained from numerous international and domestic projects, he is committed to contributing as a positive and responsible member of research collaborations in the fields of water resources and coastal engineering, Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Management, Urban and Regional Planning for Sustainability.

Assoc. Prof/ Vice Dean DINH DUONG LE

The University of Danang – University of Science and Technology (DUT), Vietnam

 

Brief Introduction: Dinh Duong Le is currently an Associate Professor and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, The University of Danang - University of Science and Technology (DUT), Vietnam.
Dinh Duong Le received his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Politecnico di Milano, Italy, in 2014. He worked as a visiting research scholar with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), Illinois, USA in 2012. During February 2014 - February 2015, he was with the Department of Energy, Politecnico di Milano as a Post-Doctoral Researcher.
His research interests include probabilistic approaches applied to power systems, power system security assessment, power system planning and operations, smart grid, energy storage system, renewable energy.
